KARMA HAS HAD REQUESTS TO WRITE A BOOK — IF ANY OF YOU CAN HELP HER WITH THAT, PLEASE E-MAIL HER AT: firstname.lastname@example.org
I was a starving mutt hit by a car and left by the roadside and then my FOREVER HEROINE, Julie Quaife of Hope For Animals, appeared like an angel — my letter about meeting my Forever Mom and getting snowed in by a blizzard is below the photos. With love to all, Karma the Dog
I’m very happy for Bo that he found his forever home in the White House! But his announcement brought several e-mails my way to find out what I was doing and I realized that I should have written to everyone much, much sooner.
My excuse is that I’ve just been too busy to write….isn’ that everyone’s excuse? But, gee, I really, really was. My forever Mom, Arlene, flew to Colorado with her friend, Tricia, to pick me up because my forever Dad, Mike, couldn’t get enough free time to come along. Arlene and Tricia arrived at my foster home on March 25th — just in time for all of us to get snowed in together by a blizzard for 1 1/2 days. It was just us ‘girls’ because my foster Dad was snowed out so it was like a 36-hour pajama party. I was petted, cuddled, talked to and walked for hours and hours. I never could have imagined such a wonderful thing could happen to me since I had been a stray mutt until that car hit me.
Then on March 28th, my new forever Mom Arlene, Tricia and I started out on an adventure that they called a “va-kay-shun”. My Mom rode in the backseat with her arms around me (she cuddles good). We drove south for dinner in Taos where Mom and Tricia found a restaurant that allowed me on their patio. They even brought out a patio heater so we could all be cozy over dinner. Then we went to Santa Fe for a couple of days and finally began heading east for Silver Spring, MD — my new forever home. When we got here the cherry trees were in bloom and I finally got to meet my forever Dad!
My foster Mom asked me to tell you that she chose my adoption applications in the order which they came to me. She also said that, as a result of my story, other shelter dogs have been adopted and she has had requests to write a children’s book about me. ME!!!! A BOOK!!! If anyone has any ideas about how to do that just send them to me and I’ll pass them on to her.
I want to thank every single one of you who wrote offering to adopt me or to encourage me along. Those days just after I was hit by the car were pretty painful and bleak. But my FOREVER HEROINE, Julie Quaife of Hope For Animals, appeared like angel and here I am — really close to the White House but both of my Moms agree that my life will be better WITHOUT the stress!
Give your forever dog a hug or go adopt you forever dog!
With love to all-
Karma The Dog
